Working with a UK PE roll-up investing very rapidly into the UK MSP market. Using APIs + AI to identify the market and engage targets. Having lots of fun using Firecrawl + Claude + Python to automate a lot the process involved in finding 8k target companies from a TAM of 240k potential targets. Headhunting for some early stage AI & crypto companies as a solo talent advisor. Enjoying telling people my honest view on an opportunity, not the one that necessarily gets them to take the job. Helped 2 great canidates find new roles. Building a project tracker & blog at hardware.ventures that highlights the wave of incredible hard engineering happening in the UK. Talking to a few of these companies, and researching whether this new wave of companies has the talent they need to be succcessful. Still thinking about interviews, we've created a world where AI makes hiring harder, and interviews generate less signal. There is better recruiting tech, more data and analytics across the funnel but there is still a huge challenge with the interview itself. Spending more time with my 2 lovely kids and very patient wife.
